**RACING EXPERIENCE IS NOT REQUIRED! About 25% of our team members have prior race experience; the others learned from our captains who have over two decades of race experience between them. We are not ALL about racing! Honing your race skills improves you as a skier all around, but we do like to go to the terrain park and hit backcountry skiing as well!

We practice twice a week during weeknights in the spring semester at a local mountain. We have used both Jiminy Peak and Willard Mountain, both within 45 minutes' drive time from campus. We ski under the lights! If you’ve never been night-skiing before, we guarantee you’ll have a blast with your teammates!

We travel and compete during the first six weeks of spring semester. You pay dues, but the Student Association allots us a budget that pays for your travel and lodging. Your dues help pay for race entry fees. Venue locations include, but are not limited to: Whiteface Mountain (The Olympic Village), Gore Mountain, West Mountain, Hunter Mountain, Labrador Mountain, and Toggenburg Ski Area, among others.
