Event Time and Date

Monday, February 27 2017, 9:00 AM to Tuesday, March 21 2017, 9:00 PM

This semester we are hosting March Madness, a community service initiative taking place on March 21st at Empire Commons from 7pm-10pm. We are collecting select items from our “wish-list” in hopes of making kits/baskets for underprivileged youth, victims of domestic violence and more. This will be a month long competition between student groups and individuals with prizes for our collect donors. On March 21st participants will have the opportunity to pack and personalize these gifts as well as celebrate the amount of donations received. All proceeds will go to Equinox, a local nonprofit community organization in the Capital Region.

Ways to Get Involved:

  • Volunteer to help dorm storm the Apartments (ie. Empire, Liberty, Freedom) on designated days
  • Volunteer for Collection Day March 21st
  • Part of a student group? Sponsor an item off our wishlist and collect them for the chance to be entered in the competition.
  • Want to individually donate? Drop them off at our respective complexes and receive 'Thank You' cards redeemable for raffle tickets on March 21st.
  • Spread the word!

Note that any donation equals 1 hour of community service that can be self reported via MyInvolvement.
